Operation
Fleece grease filter
The supplied fleece grease filter (6) is located
on the inside of the metal cover. This primar-
ily serves to protect the motor by binding the
grease and oil that has been sucked in.
Carbon filter mat
To ensure the more effective removal of
odour particles from cooking fumes, it is rec-
ommended to use a carbon filter mat in place
of the fleece grease filter. The suction power
is lower.
To insert see „Insert/replace the carbon filter
mat" on page EN-17.

Tips on saving energy

– Only switch on the fan when needed; oth-
erwise, energy will be wasted.
– Let the fan run as long as cooking fumes
or steam are present.
– The fan is not needed when cooking only
briefly or warming up foods that have lit-
tle or no odour.
(6)
– Ensure that there is enough supply air; oth-
erwise, the exhaust hood may not function
optimally. If necessary, open the window or
kitchen door.
– Clean the fleece grease filter (6) at regular
intervals (see „Clean the metal grease filter
and fleece grease filter" on page EN-11).
– Replace the carbon filter mat regularly (see
„Insert/replace the carbon filter mat" on
