ing red (4 Hz)
3.4
Intended use
The thermal imaging camera is a device to support users in search and rescue
operations and firefighting when visibility is impaired due to poor lighting
conditions or smoke.
The thermal imaging camera can send the captured image to the associated
Dräger FPS IMD In-Mask-Display.
The thermal imaging camera can be used, e.g., to support
searching for and rescuing persons
locating the fire source
identifying potential flash-over situations
Training
The thermal imaging camera can be used in fires and hazardous situations, and
in normal environments. The thermal imaging camera is designed for use in
heat, smoke and spray water.
3.5
Limitations on intended use
Thermal images can only be displayed when the Dräger UCF FireCore thermal
imaging camera is paired with the Dräger FPS IMD In-Mask-Display.
The thermal imaging camera cannot see through glass or water. Shiny and
glossy surfaces (e.g. metal, glass) reflect thermal radiation and can lead to loss
of orientation if the user is not properly trained in using the camera.
The thermal imaging camera is not a life-supporting device and must therefore
not be used as such.
The thermal imaging camera is not intended for precise temperature
measurement. The indicated temperature may be different from the actual
temperature.
