Passive unit – open system: request command by selecting the Take command
button
The command is immediately transferred

Unlocked unit: lock/unlock other units by selecting the information field

Locked unit: request command by selecting the Take command button
A request is sent to the unit in control

Unit in control: confirm request for command transfer
The command is transferred when the requestor confirms take-over
Enabling/disabling thrusters
If a thruster is available for autopilot control, the Thruster button is shown in the autopilot
control bar. The button has the following indications and function:
Thruster available, but turned off.
Select to enable the thruster
Thruster in use. Red and green arrows indicate thrust direction.
Select to disable the thruster
Thruster available, but currently inhibited due to high speed.
Reduce vessel speed to enable the thruster
Selecting a work profile
The AP70/AP80 supports multiple work profiles with different autopilot settings. On the MFD,
the active work profile is shown on in the autopilot controller.
The Work profile button is available in the autopilot controller or in the autopilot controller's
mode panel depending on MFD screen size.
To select the work profile:
Select the work profile button to display the list of available work profiles, then select the
preferred work profile

Autopilot settings

The Autopilot settings dialog depends on which autopilot computer that is connected to the
system. If more than one autopilot is connected, the Autopilot settings dialog shows option
for the active autopilot.
The autopilot settings can be split between settings done by the user, and settings done
during installation and commissioning of the autopilot system.
