    Update procedure Simrad Multifunction Display (MFD) software can be updated using one of the following methods. • Method 1 “UPDATES LIVE”: Connect the MFD to the internet. The MFD will check if any updates are required for devices on the network. If there is a new version of software avail- able for MFDs or NMEA 2000 devices on the network, the updates can be downloaded and updates applied to MFDs or NMEA 2000 devices across the network.
  • Page 8 Connect the MFD to the Internet Access the Wireless settings page (HOME>SETTINGS>WIRELESS). Most current models of MFD will have internal wireless. Make sure this is active (by default this is off) Select the menu item “Connect to a wireless hotspot...” or “Not connected” Choose the desired Hotspot Enter the Password (network Key) then select connect If there is a new version of software, the following will be presented.
