Press the <MENU> button while the thumbnail screen is displayed.
The menu is displayed.

Select the [THUMBNAIL] menu → [CLIP] → [PROTECT].

Select [SELECT].
The thumbnail screen is displayed.

Select the clip to protect in the thumbnail screen.
is displayed on the selected clip.
f Protect is cancelled when the protected clip is selected.

t It cannot protect when the card with the clip to protect is write protected.

Restoring clips

In following cases, an error message may be displayed and it may need restoration of the clip depending on the condition. It may take some time to
restore depending on the error.
f When the SD card in the slot is taken out while the card 1 access lamp or the card 2 access lamp is flashing
f When the power is turned off by removing the battery or the AC adaptor while recording or performing record completion process

Select [SET] in the error message screen. (Fig. 1)
f Once the repair is completed, select
is displayed on the clip when an abnormal management information is detected while displaying the thumbnail.

NOTE
t Do not remove the SD card in the slot with the card 1 access lamp/card 2 access lamp is flashing in orange or remove the battery or the AC adaptor
when the lamp is flashing. Doing so will cause damage to the SD card.
t Use a sufficiently charged battery or AC adaptor.
t It may not be possible to completely repair depending on the condition of the data.
t To restore the clips, it is necessary that the clips are recorded for more than a certain amount of time. Especially in the following cases, the clips may
not be restored, because the number of frames to be recorded is small.
‑ When the variable frame rate recording function is enabled, and the frame rate lower than the system frequency is set.
‑ When the interval recording function is enabled.
t The clips shot before the power was turned off will not be able playback if the repair fails.
Also, it may not be possible to record any more.
t If data recorded with other device is repaired, it may not be able to play back on the camera or other device.
t If the repair failed, turn off the camera, and turn it back on after waiting for a while. If the repair fails repeatedly, format with the camera. All data will be
erased when it is formatted, and it cannot be restored.
t Display of the thumbnail become slower when the thumbnail information is repaired.
