Using the Controls

The following controls on the camcorder can
be used to select and operate the various
functions, settings and on-screen displays.
POWER switch
MENU/DISPLAY button
CONTROL dial
POWER switch
To turn the power on, hold down the Lock
button and set the POWER switch to CAMERA
or VCR.
Lock button
To turn the power off, set the POWER switch to
OFF without pressing the Lock button.

MENU/DISPLAY button
The MENU/DISPLAY button is
used to turn the mode screens and
on-screen indicators off. You can
turn the on-screen indicators back
on by pressing the MENU/
DISPLAY button again.
Note:
• The tally indicator and warning indicators cannot
be deliberately turned off.
CONTROL dial
The CONTROL dial is used to adjust the
settings on the menu screen. The procedures
for adjusting the menu settings in this operation
manual are based upon the use of the five
operation buttons under the LCD monitor. To
adjust the menu settings with the CONTROL
dial, follow the rules below.

Turn the CONTROL dial (instead of
pressing a or s) to select the desired
item.
