A first outing with your new bicycle is recommended to gain confidence; choose an
easy route, away from traffic, other cyclists, obstacles and other hazards.
Familiarize yourself with the controls, features and performance of your new bi-
cycle.
Get to know the bicycle's braking system by doing braking tests at low speed, shi-
fting your body weight backwards and pressing gently on the brake, starting with
the rear one.
Excessive or sudden application of the front brake could throw you against the
handlebars.
Applying the brakes too hard could lock the wheel causing you to lose control and
fall.
If present, practice shifting.
Remember not to operate the shift lever while pedaling backwards, nor pedal
backwards immediately after operating the shift lever, as this may jam the chain
and cause serious damage to the bicycle.

Your bicycle requires a minimum of maintenance and regular checks, which de-
pends on how you use it:
• Check the tires regularly and check for wear.
• If there are cuts or cracks, replace the tire if necessary.
• Check the rims for excessive wear, deformation, blows,
cracks.
• Lubricate the chain regularly.
• Make sure that the vehicle battery remains charged even when not in use, to avoid
under voltage which can damage the drums.
Your bicycle must be maintained regularly by a qualified technician.
