Preparatory work

Raise the motorcycle with a lift stand. (
Main work
–
Shift the transmission into neutral.

Check the chain, rear sprocket and engine sprocket for wear.

If the chain, rear sprocket or engine sprocket is worn:
–
Change the drivetrain kit.

The engine sprocket, rear sprocket and chain should
always be replaced together.
–
Pull on the top section of the chain with the specified weight

Measure distance
of 18 chain rollers in the lower chain section.

Chain wear is not always even, so you should repeat this
measurement at different chain positions.

Change the drivetrain kit.

When a new chain is mounted, the rear sprocket
and the engine sprocket should also be changed.
