HAZARDS IDENTIFICATION
Highly fl ammable gas.
Vapours are heavier than air and can cause asphyxiati on due to reduced oxygen levels.
Contact with the liquid can cause frost burns.
FIRST AID MEASURES
In high concentrati ons it can cause asphyxia. Symptoms may include loss of mobility and/or consciousness.
In low concentrati ons it may have a narcoti c eff ect.
Move the victi m to an uncontaminated area while wearing self-contained breathing apparatus. Use oxygen or arti fi cial
respirati on arti fi cial respirati on if necessary. Keep the pati ent lying down and warm. Call a doctor.
Carefully rinse with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes.
Wash immediately with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes.
Immediately remove contaminated clothing.
FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES
Water spray, dry powder.
Exposure to fl ames may cause the vessel to rupture or explode.
Cool down the containers with a water spray from a safe positi on. Stop the product leakage if possible. Use water spray,
if possible, to abate the fumes. Move the vessels away from the area of the fi re if this can be done without posing any
risks.
ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES
Try to stop the leak.
Evacuate personnel to safety areas.
Eliminate the igniti on sources.
Ensure proper venti lati on.
Avoid entering sewers, basements, excavati ons and areas where accumulati on can be dangerous.
Use personal protecti ve equipment.
Remain upwind.
Try to stop the leak.
Venti late the area.
HANDLING AND STORAGE
Ensure suffi cient air exchange and/or sucti on in the working area. Do not smoke.
Keep away from sources of igniti on (including electrostati c charges).
Use only appropriate equipment, suitable for the product.
Do not inhale the gas.
Close carefully and store in a cool, dry and well venti lated area.
Storage containers should be checked periodically. Do not store with other oxidants in general or other combusti ble
substances.
All electrical equipment in the storage area are compliant with the risk of explosive atmospheres formati on.
