Connect the protective grounding terminal to the earth ground with a PGND cable, with
the resistance value no more than 5Ω. If the device is installed a standard cabinet,
connect the cabinet to the earth ground.
Warning:
The XE IP PBX must be properly grounded during its running. Otherwise, lightning may
damage the XE IP PBX and the connected devices.

3.4 Connecting Console Terminal

I. Console port
The XE IP PBX provides a RS232 asynchronous serial console port (CON) for your
configuration of the XE IP PBX. See section 1.2.4 "Interface Attributes" on page 1-4 for
its attributes.
II. Console cable
The console cable is 8-core shielded cable, with one end attached with an RJ-45
connector (to the XE IP PBX) and the other end attached with DB9 (female) connector
(to the Console terminal).
The console cable is illustrated in the following figure.
