Gently press the left side of the retaining arm to release the lock mechanism, then pull the door open to release the enclosure from the Drive Bay Frame. - Page 6 Instruction Manual 4. Connect the 3.5” SATA hard drive to the connector provided by the detached rear panel, ensuring the drive is securely fastened: SATA Connector 5. Fasten the hard drive to the rear panel of the enclosure, by securing it to the metal brackets provided.

Installing the Bay in the Computer WARNING: Be sure that you are properly grounded before opening your computer case or touching any components. StarTech.com recommends that you wear an anti-static strap when installing any computer equipment. If an anti-static strap is unavailable, discharge yourself of any static electricity build-up by touching a large grounded metal surface (such as the computer case) for several seconds. -

If you wish to use the Enclosure as a removable drive, simply remove the Enclosure from the host computer by releasing the retaining arm (see step #1 on pg. -
