Ignition Switch - Suzuki VS1400 Owner's Manual

IGNITION SWITCH

The ignition switch has three positions.
"OFF" position
All electrical circuits are cut off. The
engine will not start. The key can be
removed.
"ON" position
The ignition circuit is completed and the
engine can be started. The headlight
and taillight will automatically turn on.
The key cannot be removed in this posi-
tion.
NOTE: Start the engine promptly after
turning the key to the "ON" position, or
the battery will lose power due to com-
sumption by the headlight and taillight.
"P" position
Taillight will come on to increase visibil-
ity for temporary road side parking at
night. The key can be removed.
