Installing the Air Shrouds
Air shrouds concentrate airflow to maximize fan efficiency. They do not require screws for
installation.
Installing the Air Shroud
1. Power down the system, as described previously in this section. Remove both the
covers.
2. Place the air shroud in the chassis. The air shroud fits just behind the five fans in the
fan rack.
3. Align the mounting holes in the air shroud with those in the chassis and secure them
with the four screws provided with the air shroud.
4. Replace both chassis covers and power up the system.
