cables; all devices are jumpered for
Cable Select.

About Cable Select

The Cable Select jumper position sets the PlexWriter drive to use the CSEL signal
from the IDE interface for configuration. This signal automatically selects the correct
Master/Slave setting for the PlexWriter. To use CSEL, you must have:
• A computer that supports CSEL.
• A special CSEL cable for IDE.

NOTE: The IDE cable supplied by Plextor does not support CSEL. To use CSEL and
Cable Select, you'll have to purchase another cable.

How to Install the PlexWriter
Set the PlexWriter's mode jumper to
CSEL, and connect it as the Master.
(That is, at the opposite end of the
cable from the computer's IDE
interface connector.)
