Installing the Multiplexer in a Mainframe

Set the extraction levers out.

Tighten the top and bottom screws to
secure the multiplexer module
to the mainframe.
NOTE: The extraction levers will not
seat the backplane connectors on older
VXIbus mainframes. You must manually
seat the connectors by pushing in the
module until the module's front panel is
flush with the front of the mainframe.
The extraction levers may be used to
guide or remove the multiplexer.
To remove the multiplexer from the mainframe,
reverse the procedure.
Chapter 1
The HP E1476A may be installed in any slot (except slot 0) in a C-size
VXIbus mainframe. Refer to Figure 1-5 to install the Multiplexer in a
mainframe.

Slide the HP E1476A into any slot
(except slot 0) until the backplane
connectors touch.

Seat the multiplexer into the
mainframe by pushing in the
extraction levers
