Resetting the Multiplexer
Reading the Relay
Control Registers
Appendix B
There are two ways to reset the multiplexer:
1. You can simply write a "0" to all bits in the Relay Control Registers.
2. You can use bit 0 (R) in the Status/Control Register. The R bit in the
Status/Control Register must be set to "1" to reset the E1476A
module and subsequently set to "0" to restore normal operation.
Note
You must wait at least 100msec after writing a "1" to the R bit of the Status/
Control Register before you write a "0" to that bit to restore normal
operation.
Reading the Relay Control Registers returns a hexadecimal number which
indicates a "1" for each bit representing a channel that is closed. A bit that is
"0" indicates the channel is open.
