Setting Up Stereo Mode
The library
is required for stereo mode.
DOMEstlib
When you enable stereo mode, parts of the screen (on the
right and bottom) may be hidden if the stereo screen resolu-
tion is smaller than the non-stereo resolution. If any objects
or icons are located on the right or bottom of your screen
before you enable stereo mode, they may become invisible
when you first enable stereo mode.
The driver software for the M2 board provides environment
variables that enable panning and scrolling while in stereo
mode. After you set these variables, moving the cursor out of
the visible area automatically causes previously hidden areas
on the screen to pan or scroll into the visible area.
To enable the cursor to cross to another display without
panning or scrolling the stereo display, the driver soft-
ware sets zones at the four corners of the visible area to be
insensitive to automatic panning and scrolling. You can use
an environment variable to change the size of these zones.
Once the cursor exits through one of these zones, panning or
scrolling is temporarily disabled until the cursor reenters
the visible area.
If panning and scrolling is undesirable, you can use an
environment variable to choose the area you want to
remain visible and an X property to access the position
and size of the visible area.
