PP600F/602F LED lighting controllers - User Manual condition is approximately given by the sum of the following for the two channels: ) x I Where: = Power supply voltage = Rated voltage for lighting = Maximum current delivered by the power supply. Either limit the power supply output current(s) so that not more than 30W can be dissipated in the PP600F, or mount the unit in an enclosure.
PP600F/602F LED lighting controllers - User Manual PP600F heat output The PP600F controller has a linear circuit to produce constant current output. This section explains how to calculate the heat output from the PP600F and what measures you can take to manage it. Heat output per channel For a continuous output current, the heat output is given by: Heat output = I...
There are several ways to reduce the heat output from the PP600F. Refer to Application Note APP909 – PP600 Heat Output which is available from the PP600 product page at www.gardasoft.com. — —...
PP600F/602F LED lighting controllers - User Manual Connections All connections are made on screw terminals. The opto-isolated inputs require a voltage between 4.5v and 24v DC for a positive logic level. Open circuit or less than 1v gives a negative logic level. Note: The case of thePP600F is not connected to the GND supply connection.
PP600F/602F LED lighting controllers - User Manual PP602F CCS connectors PP602F controllers are additionally fitted with connectors for CCS lights. Note that the power input and digital inputs are only available on the screw terminals. The connectors are not labelled on the case. Refer to the table and the diagram below for the layout.
PP600F/602F LED lighting controllers - User Manual calculate the maximum continuous current that the lights can take apply the following formula: ÷ V Where: = Maximum continuous current in Amps = Rated wattage in Watts = Rated voltage in Volts Power supply The PP600F has split power input connectors for the control circuit and the two output channels.

PP600F/602F LED lighting controllers - User Manual 8.2.2 Split supply applications It is possible to run the two channels and digital system from two or three separate supplies as shown below, though this will rarely be necessary. Note: It is essential that the ground of the three supplies are commoned close to the PP600F.
PP600F/602F LED lighting controllers - User Manual Operation The PP600F is set up using the push buttons and display on the front of the unit. The setup is non-volatile, so the PP600F will resume the same operation after a power cycle. Startup On power up, the PP600F will display to test the display is...
PP600F/602F LED lighting controllers - User Manual SE12 Mode uses the four combinations of INPUT1 and INPUT2 to select between four different output currents. The table below explains how the input conditions affect the output current settings according to what mode is selected: Mode Inputs Output...
PP600F/602F LED lighting controllers - User Manual 9.3.4 Current protection Current protection can be used to provide the LED from being overdriven. This is not absolute protection but provides some safety when setting up the PP600F. Use Extended Set-Up to set the maximum current rating for each output channel.

PP600F/602F LED lighting controllers - User Manual Timings 11.1 Selected continuous mode When using selected continuous mode, the maximum delay from an input changing to the output current changing is 500µs. 11.2 Pulse mode For short delays and pulse widths, the actual timings are repeatable but not exact.
Page 38
PP600F/602F LED lighting controllers - User Manual Note that the delay is dependent on the voltage of the trigger signal (on input 1 or input 2). A lower trigger input voltage gives a longer delay. The values above apply for a trigger input voltage of 18V to 24V. As with the standard range of controllers, a trigger input of only 5V will increase the delay by approximately 8µs.
