Shielding and cable routing

Defined ground!
Microwave positioning sensor, supply and
control system must be at the same ground
potential.
Shielding
To ensure electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), observe
the following:
Connect the microwave positioning sensor and the
controller with a shielded cable.
Shielding: Braided copper shield with minimum 85%
coverage.
Ground the cable shield and connect to the cylinder
ground using the M12 plug contact.
If the cylinder is not reliably tied to ground through the
pivots (connection to the frame or machine), then this
ground contact must be ensured by means of a
separate grounding cable through the pivots.

Cable routing
Do not route the cable between the sensor, controller, and
power supply near high voltage cables (inductive stray
noise is possible).
The cable must be routed tension-free.
Cable length
The maximum cable length is 20 m
