Starting up the system

Uncontrolled system movement
When starting up, if the sensor is part of a closed loop
system whose parameters have not yet been set, the
system may perform uncontrolled movements. This could
result in personal injury and equipment damage.
► Secure hazardous areas against unauthorized
access.
► Startup must be performed only by trained technical
personnel.
► Observe the safety instructions of the equipment or
system manufacturer.
► During initial startup, after changing the fluid or after
replacing the sensor, bleed the hydraulic system
sufficiently and do not use the sensor output during
the teach-in phase in the control system (the first 2-3
cylinder strokes).
► Check output signal for plausibility.
Interference with other devices
If the sensor is operated without being installed in a
hydraulic cylinder, electromagnetic emissions may
interfere with other devices.
► The sensor may only be put into operation when it is
installed in a hydraulic cylinder.
1. Check connections for tightness and correct polarity.
Replace damaged connections.
2. Bleed hydraulic system!
3. Turn on the system.
4. Check the measurements.
When replacing the sensor, always install an
identical one (check the part label)!
