Observe the safety instructions, guidelines, occupational safety and accident
prevention regulations as well as protection policies applicable to your job
and workplace.

Electrical safety

Do not operate the ClimateDetector in a damp or wet environment.
Remove the battery if the device will not be used for an extended period.

Utilize only batteries, power packs and system voltage intended for use in
this specific device. Otherwise, the device may pose a fire hazard.

Device-specific safety instructions

Use the device and related accessories only according to the intended use as
well these instructions.
Before using, check the ClimateDetector for possible damage. Do not use
it if the safety is in doubt.
Ensure the device is protected when storing it and out of the reach of
children.
Protect the ClimateDetector against moisture, corrosive substances, direct
sunlight, extreme temperatures and wide temperature fluctuations.
Avoid heavy vibrations or jolts, and never drop the device or use force.
Keep the device away from electromagnetic sources such as induction
heating and electrical welding devices. Avoid static charges since these
may damage the ClimateDetector.
Avoid accidentally switching on the device. Make sure it is switched off
when inserting batteries.
Do not block openings on the ClimateDetector.

Laser-specific handling rules

A laser emits an extremely intensive beam of light. Improper use can cause
accidents, severe damage and permanent eye injury.

Do not point the laser beam at people or animals,
and do not look into the direct or reflected beam.

Do not aim the laser beam toward reflecting surfaces, as they may divert
the beam and cause injuries.
!
If a beam is directed at your eyes, close them and move your head immedi-
ately away from the beam.
!
Do not use optical instruments such as magnifying glasses, telescopes, eye-
glasses or other lenses to observe the source of the beam or to modify the
laser beam.
