What to do about mildew?

If you detect a high risk of mildew infestation, the initial remedy is to
change climatic conditions:
Increase the air and/or wall temperature.
Reduce humidity.
Appropriate measures for this can include:
Reducing / avoiding water induction.
Providing improved ventilation or air exchange.
Preventing microclimate zones by avoiding narrow gaps such as the space
between furniture and a wall.
Checking insulation.
Using dehumidifiers.
If mildew has already formed:
!
Do not risk your health!
!
Wear protective equipment, at least gloves and breathing protection!
!
Avoid lingering in infested areas!
Use recommended products for treating mildew, and in cases of intensive
infestation, engage an expert for removal.
