In this section, we will introduce the steps of booting up the Advantech Advantech
QuickStart Image from USB flash drive on an Advantech AIMB-217 network
appliance.
The table below shows the SKU configuration of AIMB-217:

Please refer to the AIMB-217 user's manual for detailed HW information, e.g. port
locations, etc.
2.1 Accessories and Facilities Required
The following accessories shall be prepared:
Advantech provided USB drive with AIMB-217 image.
Advantech provided W163 Wi-Fi/Bt module.
Monitor that supports one of provided interfaces: VGA/HDMI/DP.
Keyboard with USB connection.
RJ45 Ethernet cable (required for accessing Internet if has now WiFi nearby)

2.2 Cable and System Connections
The system front view, top and bottom views of the AIMB-217 as well as the
descriptions of components on the front or top/bottom panel are shown in Figure 1,
Table 5, Figure 2, Figure 3, Figure 4 and Figure 5 respectively. Before connecting
AIMB-217 to the power outlet, finish the cable connections first.
Plug the Advantech Image USB drive into either one of the AIMB-217 USB
3.0 ports (Figure 1)
Connect to VGA/HDMI/DP port your monitor (Figure 1)
Connect keyboard to one of USB 3.0 ports (Figure 1)
Connect RJ45 Ethernet cable to one of RJ-45 LAN ports (Figure 1) Connect
W163 to M.2. socket on the bottom of board (Figure 3)
