    2.3.1 Indications The madita-fun. therapy chair is designed for children and youths who can- not sit or stand unaided however whose limited torso posture does not require permanent sitting in a seat pan.

    • Use only accessories and spare parts made by Schuchmann, otherwise you will compromise the safety of the user. • Only use the therapy chair if all components have been correctly mounted and adjusted.

    3. Settings. Settings and adjustments to the product or accessories may only be made by people who have been given the necessary instructions by a medical product advisor. Please ensure that none of the user's extremities are in the respective area when making adjustments of any kind to minimise the risk of injury.

    3. Settings. Electrical height adjustment is also possible. This is operated with the existing remote op- eration (A). Press the arrow key downwards in order to adjust the seat height downwards and upwards in order to adjust the seat height upwards. In case of problems with the control unit, please contact a specialist dealer so that the product can be returned to the factory if required.

    3. Settings. 3.4 Back inclination The back can be adjusted to the correct angle after loosening of the clamping lever (A) on the right-hand side of the seat unit. Ensure that, during setting / adjustment of the back inclination, no body parts are trapped in the area of the setting / adjustment mechanism in order to avoid injuries.

    3. Settings. 3.7 Foot support The basic model of the madita-fun. therapy chair already includes a foot support (A). It folds up, has a non-slip surface (B) and has 6 slits (C) to attach harnesses such as foot cuffs or foot positioning aids. There are also two additional foot support models.

    3. Settings. 3.8 Footrests Optionally, madita-fun. can also be equipped with footrests (A). They have an anti-slip surface (B) and have 4 slits each (C) to mount straps such as foot cuffs or foot positioning aids. To adjust the knee angle, please re- lease the twist grips (D) below the seat surface on both sides.

    3. Settings. 3.8.1 Positioning of the footrests For optimum positioning of the feet, the footrests can be adjusted inde- pendently of each other in width, an- gle and depth. Foot angle The foot angle (A) of the respective footrest can be adjusted from (-)15° to 15°.

    3. Settings. 3.9 Footrests with foot pans Optionally, the footrests can also be equipped with foot pans (A). Here, as on the standard design, the knee angle can be adjusted, the foot pans folded up and the height adjust- ed (see Point 3.8). For optimum positioning of the feet, the footrests with foot pans can be adjusted independently of each other in width, angle and depth (see Point 3.8.1).

    4. Accessories. 4.1 Headrest All headrests can be removed as standard. The headrest (A) can be adjusted in height and depth. To adjust the depth, loosen the screw (B) and set the support to the required depth. Then tighten the screw (B) again. The height of the head rest can be adjusted by loosening the twist grip (C).

Tighten the screws and twist grip again after each adjustment! 4.3 Conversion kit for combination sub-frame When converting madita-fun. to a combination sub-frame, the plastic castors are replaced with 6“ pneumatic wheels with steering forks and 12 ½“ pneumatic drum braked wheels. The drum brakes work independent of air pressure.

    4. Accessories. 18 18 4.4 Thorax pelotte pads The thorax pelotte pads are individ- ually adjustable in height and width. To adjust the width, loosen the screws (A) and bring the thorax pelotte pads into the desired position. Then re-tighten the screws (A) again. Proceed in the same way to set height using the screw (B).

    4. Accessories. 4.7 Thigh guide The thigh guide pads are individual- ly adjustable in height and depth. In order to adjust the width, loosen the two wing screws (A) under the seat area and bring the thigh guide pad into the required position. The depth adjustment is possible on any thigh guide except on the standard version for Size 0 with adjustable pelvic guide.

    4. Accessories. 4.9 Adjustable pelvic guide The adjustable pelvic guide can be adjusted in width, provides the user with a high level of security and po- sitions the pelvis. At first, loosen the cylinder head screw (A) on the rear of the therapy chair at the bottom edge of the cover.

    4. Accessories. 4.11 Fold-away therapy table The standard therapy table (A) can be adjusted in height and depth. Height adjustment takes place via adjust- ment of the armrests (see Point 3.6). For adjustment of the depth, loosen the wing screw (B) and bring the ther- apy table into the required position.

    5. Cleaning and maintaining. 5.1.2 Disinfection Various products can be used for surface disinfection of metal and plastic parts. Liquid disinfectants are available as ready-to-use solutions that are sprayed on and evenly applied with a soft cloth. Alternatively, wipes pre-soaked with disinfectant can be used to wipe the products over the entire surface.

    7. Guarantee. The two-year statutory guarantee period shall apply for all products. This begins with the delivery or handover of the goods. Should a verifiable ma- terial or manufacturing fault occur within this time period, we shall, after carriage paid return to us, view the indicated damage and, if applicable, either repair or deliver a new product at our discretion.
