Note
Connector with 180° cable outlet
Use bus connectors with a 180° cable outlet if you want to use the lower PROFIBUS connector
(PB2, DP device only) or both PROFIBUS connectors at the same time. You can obtain these
connectors, for example, under the following order numbers:
• 6GK1 500-0FC10
• 6GK1 500-0EA02
PROFIBUS network
The physical link between the PROFIBUS interface and the PROFIBUS network is via a floating
RS485 interface that is part of the communications processor. Depending on the network
configuration, data rates of 9.6 Kbps up to a maximum of 12 Mbps are possible in the
PROFIBUS network.
