The SIEMENS Models CAB1(R)-TK, CAB2(R)-TK and CAB3(R)-TK Trim Kits are used to
semi-flush mount CAB1(R), CAB2-BB and CAB3-BB enclosures, respectively. The
CAB1-TK, CAB2-TK and CAB3-TK Trim Kits are black and the CAB1R-TK, CAB2R-TK
and CAB3R-TK Trim Kits are red.
Determine the location where the CAB enclosure is to be mounted. Refer to the
CAB1/CAB1R Installation Instructions, P/N 315-033007 , or the CAB2-BB/CAB3-BB
Installation Instructions, P/N 315-033009, as appropriate.
Refer to Figure 1 for a typical Trim Kit installation.
1. Cut the necessary hole in the wall for the CAB enclosure.
2. Fasten each trim piece to the backbox as shown in Figure 1. Using the
screws provided, place the head of each screw inside the enclosure and
fasten it to the trim piece with Pem nuts. CAB1 uses 8 screws. CAB2 and
CAB3 each use 10 screws.
3. Secure the panel in the recess. Refer to the CAB1/CAB1R Installation
Instructions, P/N 315-033007 , or the CAB2-BB/CAB3-BB Installation Instruc-
tions, P/N 315-033009, as appropriate.
The Trim Kit is designed so that steps 2 and 3 of this procedure can be reversed.
The CAB1-TK is designed for use with the CAB1; the CAB1R-TK is designed for use
with the CAB1R.
The CAB2-TK is designed for use with the CAB2-BB and the CAB2-BD; the
CAB2R-TK is designed for use with the CAB2-BB and the CAB2-RD.
The CAB3-TK is designed for use with the CAB3-BB and the CAB3-BD; the
CAB3R-TK is designed for use with the CAB3-BB and the CAB3-RD.
