Troubleshooting Chart
Possible corrective actions
Check the electrical circuit and possible problems before
changing the motor fan.
Remove excess coolant and check the liquid subcooling.
Check that the unit and fan motor are correctly supplanted by
the power line.
Check or replace condenser caps on front and rear of unit.
Remove the non-condensables in the system and replace the
charge.
Backwash or chemical cleaning.
Check for leaks, repair and add necessary charge. Check liquid
sight glass.
Adjust the water flow required for the equipment.
Check or replace (if necessary) valve and set proper superheat.
Check circuit and possible problem of solenoid valve not
opening, if necessary replace.
Check pressure drop or temperature for diagnostics.
Check means of regulating condenser temperature.
If the system has excess oil, recover and adjust by observing
the sight glass on the compressor.
Correct power supply.
Check the electrical circuit for possible problems. Then replace
the compressor.
Check all connections and tighten them, if necessary replace
contactors.
See corrective steps for high discharge pressure.
