6 Hand tool description The HT11K hand tool essentially consists of a crimping head and a moveable grip joined by rivets. The grip has a ratchet mechanism to ensure proper crimping in accordance with TE specifications. The crimping head is equipped with a sliding crimping die designed to match the product to be pro- cessed.
7 Crimping procedure Based on the wire cross-section and the relevant processing specification, determine the right crimp- ing die for the terminal to be processed. Proceed as follows to crimp the terminal: Close the handles until the ratchet releases and allows you to fully open the handles. Note: The ratchet mechanism makes audible clicks when you close the handles.
