SECTION 4: ASSEMBLY

Order of Assembly

Assembly of the G1012 is straightforward. We
have organized the assembly process into steps.
Please follow them in sequence. Review the parts
diagrams and lists frequently to become familiar
with all of the parts before you begin.

E. Pulley Alignment

G. Fence Assembly
H. Total Unit Check
NOTICE
TOOLS REQUIRED: In addition to the tools
provided with your bandsaw, you will need
a metric set of wrenches, 5mm Allen
wrench, large and medium flat-tipped
screwdrivers, Phillips
bob and a 6" or 8" adjustable wrench.

To begin stand assembly, locate all the stand
parts so they are within easy reach. To ease
assembly, build the stand upside down on a
bench and then rotate to the upright position on
the floor.
1. Flip stand top (Part #96) upside down and
swing motor base (Part #89) up so that the
base is supported by the two adjusting
screws. Locate one nut and washer below
the base and the other washer and nut
above. Hand-tighten for now. See Figure 2.
2. Mount motor onto motor base (Part #89) at
this time. Secure with four (4)
hex head bolts, washers and nuts provided.
Hand-tighten for now.
3. Attach the four (4) legs (Part #82) to the top
of the stand using the

bolts, washers and nuts provided. Do not
tighten down bolts completely at this time.
4. Attach the three horizontal braces (Parts #84
& 85) to the legs and secure with
1 / " carriage bolts, washers and nuts provid-

ed..
Do not fasten the last brace to the pulley
side of the stand at this time. This will allow
room to align the pulleys later.
5. Flip stand right side up and adjust back and
forth so it is level and symmetrical. Now,
final tighten the stand bolts.
At this point place the bandsaw on the stand.
Ensure that the bandsaw pulley shaft is posi-
tioned over the rectangular hole in the stand.
