• Make sure the appliance is completely dry.
• Place the appliance on a horizontal, stable and heat resistant
surface that is safe against water splashes.
• Keep the packaging if you intend to store your appliance in the
future.
• Ensure there is enough clearance around the appliance. Place
the appliance in a well-ventilated area.
• Connect the power plug to a suitable electrical wall outlet.
• The power indicator (2) will light up in green. Switch ON the
appliance by setting the temperature control (1) clockwise to
300°C for dry running without food for about 15 ~ 20 minutes.
This is to remove all residues during the manufacturing pro-
cess.
• Let the appliance cool down completely. Clean it before using it
for baking crepe. (See ==> Cleaning and Maintenance)
Note: Due to the manufacturing residues, the appliance may
emit slight odor in the first few cycles.
This is normal and does not indicate any defect or hazard. Make
sure the appliance is well ventilated.
Note: You will need a wooden spreader (4) on hand before start-
ing to cook crepes, because you have to handle quickly while
baking to avoid overcooking the batter.
Operating instructions
• Clean the baking surface with a clean damp cloth before each
use & let dry afterwards.
• Connect the power plug with a suitable electrical outlet. Pow-
er indicator (2) will light up in green to show that it is connect-
ed to the electrical power supply.
• Switch ON the appliance by turning the temperature control
(1) in a clockwise direction to select the required baking tem-
perature.
• Wait for about 15 ~ 20 minutes to let the baking plate heating
up to about 250 ~ 300°C (Max).
• Then, pour a small amount of crepe batter onto the baking
plate with a spoon. Use a wooden spreader (3) to spread it in
circular movements.
Note: Moisten the wood spreader before use. This prevents the
batter from sticking to the spreader (3).
• Allow the crepe to cook on one side until its surface is no
longer liquid visibly. Use a wooden spatula or heat-resistant
plastic spatula (not supplied) to lift one side of the crepe gen-
tly. The crepe should be visibly cooked, may be some in brown.
In this case, the crepe is ready to be flipped.
Note: When you pour the batter onto the hot baking plate, you
might hear some slight cracking noise caused by difference in
temperature. This is normal.
Note: Do not overcook the crepe, or the texture will become
rubbery. The crepe can be cooked quickly under high tempera-
ture. So, it can be flipped within about 2~3 minutes if you select
a suitable temperature.
• Turn the crepe over to other side carefully. It only needs to
cook on the other side for about 30 ~ 40 seconds.
• Carefully remove the crepe from the baking plate. Continue
making more crepes until you ran out of batter. Do not use
hand to touch the crepe as it is still hot.
• If necessary, adjust the temperature by rotating the temper-
ature control.
• Switch OFF the appliance by rotating the temperature control
(1) anti-clockwise direction to 0°C.
Attention! Disconnect the power plug when not in use. Green
indicator (2) will go out. Leave the appliance to cool down com-
