In the event that the 6300-M3 is in-operable due to a malfunction or due to loss of power, it is
possible to vent the Static system manually. This is done using the metering valve labeled
"Static Vent", located on the top panel, to the left of the DC On/Off switch. This valve is a
positive shut-off valve. Opening this valve slowly will vent the Static output of the 6300-M3 to
ambient pressure. While venting, care must be taken to ensure that the maximum climb rate
of the aircraft connected to the tester is not exceeded. Also, the Pitot Vent may need to be used
to maintain the airspeed within limits of the indicator on the aircraft.
Caution: The Static Vent is NOT connected to the Pitot Vent. There is NO cross-bleed.
When venting is completed, close the valve.
Caution: Do not over-tighten the valve as this may damage the seat of the valve.

Indicator LED's :
Two indicator LED's are provided just to the left of the Pitot port. The READY LED is green
and turns ON when power is connected to the 6300-M3 and the unit is ready for use.
The HEATERS LED is yellow and turns ON when the internal heaters are energized.
When power is turned ON using the AC or DC On/Off switch, at least one of the two LED's
will turn ON. If only the HEATERS LED is ON then the unit is warming-up and is not yet
ready for use. The unit will be ready for use only after the READY LED turns ON. It is
possible that at certain times both LED's will be ON.
When the READY LED is ON, the unit is functional only after the On/Off switch on the
Remote Unit is turned ON.
