Installation of the induction loop
Mounting clip
Induction loop
Surface or flush mount kit
Follow the steps below to install the induction loop:
1. Connect the loop cable to the screw terminals (polarity does not matter).
2. Connect the power supply (15 VDC – 26 VDC) to the induction loop PCB.
NOTE:
If an external power supply is used for the SIP station (24 VDC ± 2 V, 500 mA), it is possible to use
this power supply also for the induction loop amplifier module.
3. Switch on the external power supply and check if the LED "Power" lights green.
4. Apply an input signal (e.g. by speaking into the microphone) and increase the level via the
potentiometer "Level input" until the LED "Adjust" begins to light green.
5. Increase the potentiometer "Loop current" until the LED "Adjust" begins to light orange.
Increase the potentiometer "MLC" to compensate the metal loss.
NOTE:
The more the potentiometer is turned on, the more metal loss correction is compensated. If the
potentiometer is turned fully anti-clockwise, no compensation is active.
6. Test the performance of the system using a loop receiver or field strength meter and adjust the
potentiometers "MLC" and "Loop current" to achieve an acceptable performance.
NOTE:
Consider the respective country-specific norm.
Type: D-BZ-SIPWS211VDA, Version: 2.2/1117
NOTE:
It is mandatory to install the induction loop on
the right side within the housing as shown in
the illustration. Otherwise, disturbing hum may
occur. For the installation, use the mounting
clips and screws included in extent of supply.
