Laser Exposure System

Overview

The Laser Scanner system forms a latent image on the Photosensitive Drum according to the video signal sent from the Main
Controller.
The Laser Scanner Unit consists of the Laser Unit and the Scanner Motor Unit, and is controlled by the signal input from the DC
Controller.
The following shows an outline drawing of the Laser Scanner Unit.

Failure Detection

Overview
The DC Controller detects the following failures in the Laser Scanner Unit.
• Scanner Motor failure
• Scanner area failure
Execution Condition/Timing
If the scanner does not start although a specified period of time has elapsed after the Scanner Motor is driven, or If an error in
any of the Scanner Motor, Laser Driver, or BD detection in the scanner area is detected.
Error Code
• E100-0000 : Failure of the Laser Assembly in the Laser Scanner Unit
