Trouble
Erratic or improper weld output.
Remote device completely inoperative.
Erratic weld or incorrect weld charac-
teristics on a remote device requiring
voltage sense signal.
Fan not operating. NOTE: fan only
runs when cooling is necessary.
Wandering arc; poor control of arc
direction.
Tungsten electrode oxidizing and not
remaining bright after conclusion of
weld.
No 115 volts ac output at twistlock
receptacle.
Clean and tighten all weld connections.
Use proper size and type of weld cable (see Section 3-4).
Check for proper input and output connections (see Sections 3-10 and 3-4).
Replace electrode.
Check remote control connections (see Sections 3-5 and 3-6).
If remote device connected to Remote 14 receptacle, reset circuit breaker CB1 and/or CB2 (see Sec-
tion 5-3).
If remote device connected to Remote 17 receptacle, check fuses F3 and/or F4 and replace if needed
(see Section 5-3).
Check fuse F2, and replace if needed (see Section 5-3).
Check for and remove anything blocking fan movement.
Have Factory Authorized Service Agent check thermostats TP2 and/or TP3 and fan motor.
Reduce gas flow rate.
Select proper size tungsten.
Properly prepare tungsten.
Shield weld zone from drafts.
Increase postflow time.
Clean and tighten all gas fittings.
Water in torch. Refer to torch Owner's Manual for part(s) requiring replacement, and repair torch as
necessary.
Reset circuit breaker CB1 (see Section 5-3).
