Output (Contactor) Switch
For weld output, place switch in On position.
To preset weld output, place switch in Preset
position. Value selected on Amperage/Volt-
age control will be present when the contac-
tor is energized.
For remote control, make connections to cor-
rect receptacle, and place switch in Remote
14/17 position.
2
Amperage/Voltage Control Switch
For front panel control, place switch in Panel
position.
For remote control, make connections to cor-
rect receptacle, and place switch in Remote
14 or Remote 17 position as applicable.

Use GMAW position for GMAW and FCAW.
Use SMAW position for SMAW, GMAW-
Pulsed, GTAW, and GTAW-Pulsed.

Optional Amperage/Voltage Meter
Meter displays preset value when Output
(Contactor) switch is in Preset position. Met-
er displays actual values when Output (Con-
tactor) switch is in On or Remote 14/17 posi-
tion.

Power On/Off Switch
There is a 5 second time delay before the unit
is ready to weld.

10 Arc/Inductance Control
Adjusts Arc Control with Mode switch in
SMAW position. Adjusts Inductance with
Mode switch in GMAW position.
For Arc Control, when set at 0, short-circuit
amperage at low arc voltage is the same as
normal welding amperage. When set at 100,
short-circuit amperage is increased at low
arc voltage to assist with arc starts and re-
duce sticking while welding.
Set at 0 for GTAW welding.
For Inductance, use control to change weld
output inductance for GMAW and FCAW. In-
ductance determines the "wetness" of the
weld output puddle.
Select setting best suited for application.
Numbers around control are for reference
only.
