Asphyxiat ion hazard! Pipe out door com bust ion
air direct ly t o boiler air connect ion. Ensure
com bust ion air does not cont ain cont am inant s
and is not drawn from an area likely t o have
cont am inant s. For exam ple, never pipe
com bust ion air from areas near swim m ing pools
or laundry room exhaust vent s. Cont am inat ed
com bust ion air will dam age boiler result ing in
deat h or serious inj ury.

st andards. I n Canada ULC S636 and in t he USA UL
1738 schedule 40 CPVC are t he only approved vent
syst em t o be used as an alt ernat ive t o polypropylene
vent ing for t he exhaust pipe.

Manufact urer requires use of a m echanical fast ener
at every push-fit gasket connection when using a
single wall polypropylene vent syst em .
5 .5 Vent Term ina t ion
• Terminate combustion air and vent pipes with fittings
or coaxial vent kit . Refer t o vent ing illust rat ions for
det ails.
• Separat e vent t erm inal from air inlet t erm inal t o
prevent flue gas recirculation. If T-Terminal is used
on flue pipe at sidewall, air inlet terminal shall be at
least 36" or m ore away from vent t erm inal.
• Locat e com bust ion air t erm inat ion as far as possible
from swim m ing pool, swim m ing pool pum p house,
and ot her sources of airborne chlorine.
• Locat e com bust ion air and vent t erm inals as required
by aut horit y having j urisdict ion.
