Sedim ent t rap shall be locat ed upst ream of gas
cont rols.
7 .3 Lea k Check Ga s Piping
Pressure t est boiler and gas connect ion before placing
boiler in operat ion.
• Pressure t est over 1/ 2 psig ( 3.5 kPa) . Disconnect
boiler and its individual gas shutoff valve from
gas supply syst em .
• Pressure t est at 1/ 2 psig ( 3.5 kPa) or less.
I solat e boiler from gas supply syst em by closing
manual gas shutoff valve.
• Locat e leakage using gas det ect or, noncorrosive
detection fluid, or other leak detection method
accept able t o aut horit y having j urisdict ion. Do
not use matches, candles, open flames, or other
m et hods t hat can provide ignit ion source.
• Correct leaks im m ediat ely and ret est .

• Models 125, 150 = 5.8 m m ( Nat ural & LP)
• Models 165, 205 = 9.0 m m ( Nat ural & LP)
