Problemanalysis and solutions

It is possible that during the use of your Excel E-Smart, technical problems may arise. Your electric wheelchair tells
you what is wrong by flashing an LED light code. Possible fault codes and their meaning are described in the table
below. The solutions to these problems are also listed. Should any problem arise that is not indicated with LED fault
code or not listed below, we advise you to contact your authorised Van Os Medical dealer.

Solutions
The battery pack needs to be charged or there is
a faulty connection to the battery pack. Check the
connections and connect the charger.
The left motor has a faulty connection. Check the
connections to the battery pack.
The left motor is short circuited. Please contact
your dealer.
The right motor has a faulty connection. Check the
connections to the battery pack.
The right motor is short circuited. Please contact
your dealer.
The electric wheelchair has stopped moving
because of an external signal. There is a possibility
that the charger is still connected; please
disconnect the charger.
Joystick fault detected. Please check if the joystick
is in a neutral (middle) position before turning off
the system.
Controller system fault detected. Please check all
connections.
The brakes have a faulty connection. Check
connections to brakes and motor. Make sure
connections to the controller system are correct.
Controller system voltage overload. Check battery
pack connections.
