5. Place wall sleeve in core hole such that it pro-
trudes beyond the exterior wall. Observe the
wall sleeve projection towards the exterior
wall!
6. Close off wall sleeve on both sides with the
plaster protective covers provided.
7. For a DN 162 core hole, fix the wall sleeve
with mounting adhesive in the core hole.
8. For a DN 182 core hole, align wall sleeve and
fix on inside and outside with shims provided.
CAUTION Exercise caution when hand-
ling construction foam.
Wear protective gloves and goggles.
9. For a DN 182 core hole, fix the wall sleeve
and shim with non-compressing or zero-ex-
pansion construction foam. Cut off protruding
construction foam and shims flush with the
wall.
10.If walls have a wooden construction, addition-
ally seal the interfaces to this construction.
Stick sealing strips to the wall sleeve in these
areas. Suitable sealing material is to be sup-
plied by the customer.
7.2 External cover
Only mount external cover once the ex-
ternal plastering is complete. Only use stain-
less steel screws when mounting stainless steel
external covers.
Formation of surface rust: External factors
(e.g. air containing sulphur dioxide or salt,
dust containing iron etc.) may cause surface
rust to form on stainless steel. We recommend
thoroughly cleaning unpainted stainless ex-
ternal covers before installation (remove dust
and fingerprints) and rub in a little oil (e.g.
care oil for stainless steel).

7.2.1 Installation of external covers PP 45
AKR/ PP 45 AKB
1. Once the external plastering is complete, re-
move the plaster protective cover. Ensure that
the wall sleeve projects by 0 to no more than 4
mm. Align the condensate drain vertically.
2. Apply mounting adhesive provided by cus-
tomer in dots or lines to the underside of the
condensate drain (arrow) and attach it to the
pipe sleeve.
3. Seal the condensate drain on the exterior wall
and pipe.
NOTICE: Safe condensate drainage must be
ensured. No condensate should be allowed to
penetrate between the wall sleeve and the ex-
terior wall.
4. Seal the external grille connecting piece with
adhesive tape.
5. Insert the external grille into the pipe sleeve
and secure it in the wall sleeve using expan-
sion claws.
