Battery Monitoring Connections

QS873A VT-Probes are used to measure battery temperature for slope thermal compensation, and to
measure battery voltage for battery voltage imbalance detection when the Voltage Monitoring Module
108958422 card is used. There is a maximum 16 probes. The highest temperature measured from all
installed VT probes is used by the controller for slope thermal compensation. The number of probes
per string is to be defined by the user. Typical installation requires 1 thermal probe in the middle of
each string of batteries as shown in the following figures.
