Then, the "PASSENGER AIRBAG ON" indicator -arrow- most
lights up in the front interior light area in the roof cladding for
approx. 65 s. Then, the indicator goes out.
WARNING
The key switch for the front passenger airbag must only be
operated when the ignition is switched off. Non compliance
may result in a fault at the airbag system (risk from the fol‐
lowing airbag deployment).
If the "PASSENGER AIRBAG ON" and "PASSENGER AIR‐
BAG OFF" indicators both flash after turning on the ignition,
there is a fault in the airbag system ⇒ Vehicle diagnostic
tester.

Front flap lock: lubricate

– Treat the lock hook of the front lid with universal oil spray
around the moving parts.
– Operate the moving parts several times so that the universal
oil is spread out.
– Remove excess lubricant with a lint-free cloth.
7.12 Inspecting plenum chamber and water
drain openings for dirt, cleaning if nec‐
essary
Carry out the visual inspection for soiling through the cover of
the plenum chamber. Remove the cover if it is necessary to
clean the plenum chamber (repair measure).
Note
The water drain openings must not be blocked with wax or
underbody sealant.
