– Open the shut-off valve of the vent line (the lever faces the
direction of the line) -8-
– Open the shut-off tap of the filling line (the lever faces the
direction of the line) -2-; from this point on, filling of the tank
will begin.
WARNING
Note that the height difference between the reduction agent
container and the reduction agent tank filler neck is in the
range of 60-80 cm, dimension -A-
Make sure the filling procedure is concluded within 10 mi‐
nutes once the filling line shut-off valve is opened. This pre‐
vents overflowing!
During filling, pay attention to the amount of reduction agent
to be refilled, as indicated on the dash panel insert.
During filling, continuously check the flow of the reduction
agent by sight.
A slower flow indicates that the reduction agent tank has
been filled to its maximum. This prevents overflowing!
A reduction agent tank which has been overfilled can be
damaged during the colder months of the year.
Maximum filling of the reduction agent tank is indicated by the
following points:
♦ The flow of reduction agent becomes slower.
♦ The container contracts noticeably.
♦ The bleeder hose fills with fluid.
If the container is completely empty during filling and no more
liquid is released over the bleeder hose, use a second reduction
agent container and repeat the filling procedure.
– Close the shut-off tap for filling (the lever points at right
angle to the direction of the line) -2-.
– Close the shut-off tap of the vent line of the reduction agent
container (the lever points at right angle to the direction of
the line) -8-.
