♦ Unclamp the battery (unclamp both battery poles)
♦ Wipe away all the dirt from the battery cover with a cloth
moistened in clean water.
WARNING
When cleaning the battery cover and battery housing, do not
use any oils, solvents, cleaning agents, oil-based solvents or
ammonia solutions. These materials have a negative effect
and will cause irreversible damage to the battery housing
and will nullify all warranty claims.
If there is minor corrosion on the cable clamps at the battery
poles -arrow-:
♦ Unclamp the battery (unclamp both battery poles)
♦ Remove the corrosion with a cloth moistened in a sodium
bicarbonate solution (acidic sodium carbonate, mix 4 l water
with 500 g sodium bicarbonate).
♦ Wipe away with a cloth moistened in clean water.
♦ Dry off with a clean cloth.
If the contact surfaces of the battery poles are corroded, clean
the battery terminals and battery poles ⇒ Electrical system;
