Warning and safety instructions

This user manual contains important safety instructions and information concerning
the use of the SCALEO Medical active transfer slings. Carefully read the manual
before using them with the lifters.
Before performing a transfer, make sure the sling is adapted to the pathology and
corpulence of the patient, and in particular that the patient weight does not exceed
the maximum capacity of the sling and/or of the patient lifter you are using. A
sudden break up of an element could cause severe injury to the patient and/or the
user.
Torn, cut, frayed or broken slings can fail, resulting in serious injury to the patient
and/or to the user. Only use slings in good condition.
The slings and the lifter are intended to lift and transfer people. Never use them to
lift or to carry objects.
Slings should never be bleached. The washing conditions and temperatures are
showed on the label.
The procedure for positioning the patient on the hoist is available in the user manual
of the patient lifter. Please refer to the manual for details.
