Reassigning a Study
The reassign function allows you to transfer study results from one patient to another if the wrong patient was initially
selected. Exercise caution when using this functionality.
1. In the Patients section, select the patient. On the Studies tab, in the Patient Details section, select the study to
reassign. Right-click the study and then, from the context menu that opens, select the Reassign Study option.
2. Back in the Patients section, select the appropriate patient to whom to reassign the study. Right-click the patient
and then select the Reassign Study to <Patient Name> option.
3. In the User Notification message box that opens, click the OK button to confirm the reassignment of the test.
4. To cancel reassignment, right-click the patient and then select the Cancel option.
NOTE
If the study being reassigned was previously sent to EMR, contact the EMR vendor and request the deletion
of the previously sent report. Synergy will provide a warning message requesting confirmation of the action
when reassigning a study previously sent to EMR.
View Patients Entered Through EMR
1. The Patients section will display an icon in the EMR column (Figure 4-13) indicating those patients who have
been entered through the EMR functionality.
2. By default, the EMR column is not visible. To make it visible, navigate to Settings > Patient Display Settings. By
default, the EMR field will be off. In the Table Options column, select Table and then click Save (Figure 4-14).
