Cause & Remedy
• The cordless handset has lost
communication with the base unit. Walk
closer to the base unit, and try again.
• Confirm the base unit's AC adaptor is
plugged in.
• Raise the base unit antennas.
• The cordless handset's registration may have
been canceled. Re-register the cordless
handset (p. 68, 69).
• Move the cordless handset and the base unit
away from other electrical appliances (p. 3).
• Walk closer to the base unit.
• Raise the base unit antennas.
• Press [ ] on the cordless handset to turn on
the Clarity Booster feature (p. 31).
• If the unit is connected to a telephone line
with DSL service, you may hear noise from
the receiver or speaker during conversations.
We recommend connecting a noise filter
(contact your DSL service provider) to the
telephone line between the base unit and the
telephone line jack.
• The ringer volume is turned off. Set to HIGH,
MEDIUM or LOW (p. 21).
• If more than one other unit is in use, the
cordless handset/base unit may not ring.
Users will hear incoming call tones (p. 52).
• If only the cordless handset display is blank,
fully charge the battery (p. 12).
• Programming is not possible while the unit is
being used.
• Do not pause for over 60 seconds while
programming.
• Walk closer to the base unit if you are using
the cordless handset.
• While another user is listening to messages
or the Answering System is responding to a
call, you cannot program. Try again later.
