M.2 Slots
This motherboard has two M.2 slots (JM2_1, JM2_2). M.2 was formerly known as Next Generation
Form Factor (NGFF) and serves to replace mini PCIe. M.2 allows for a variety of card sizes,
increased functionality, and spatial efficiency. The M.2 slots on the motherboard supports PCIe
5.0 x4 from the CPU in the 22110 and 2280 form factors.
MCIO Connectors
The two MCIO connectors at NVME0/1 and NVME2/3 supports PCIe 5.0 x8 devices for four
NVMe SSDs.
