On-board computer
Depending on your vehicle's equipment, you can
call up the following information sequentially on
the on-board computer q page 13, Fig. 3@:
-Time & date q page 214
-Average consumption
- Short-term memory summary
- Long-term memory summary
- Energy consumers q page 18
- Driver assistance
-Traffic sign recognition q page 98
The short-term memory collects the information
on a journey from the time the ignition is switch
ed on until it is switched off. If the journey is re
sumed within two hours after the ignition is
switched off, the new figures are automatically
included in the calculation.
Unlike the short-term memory, the long-term
memory is not erased automatically. In this way,
you can determine the period for which you wish
the on-board computer to supply driving infor
mation.
Energy consumers*
Energy consumers
In the
ment currently affecting the vehicle's fuel con
sumption is listed. The display shows up to
three energy consumers. The energy consumer
drawing the most power appears at the top of
the list. If more than three energy consumers are
switched on, the ones currently using the most
power are displayed. In addition, a scale indicates
the overall current fuel consumption of all energy
consumers.
Fuel consumption
The current fuel consumption can be shown in a
bar display. The average fuel consumption from
the short-term memory can also be displayed. If
the bar turns green, your vehicle is saving fuel
(e.g. using recuperation).

ambient temperatures, the oil temperature may
increase above this value. This is no cause for
concern, provided that the indicator/warning

The current boost level of the engine (that is, the
current charge pressure) is indicated by a bar.
