Glide-over-terrain calculations are performed also while flying a task, along the optimal path. As in
the previous case, your glide is drawn with a white line with black borders where your glide is
calculated to be above ground level and with a red line with white borders where it is below ground
level. You will be able to see at a glance which waypoints can be reached (Figure 40).
This feature can give you a huge performance advantage in competition flights in particular in the
case when some waypoints are on sharp ridges. In this case, it might happen that those waypoints
can be validated even flying below the waypoint itself. A quick look at the map will allow you to
check for this possibility.
