Installing the ribbon cartridge

Remove ribbon cartridge from the plastic bag. Detach blue ribbon shield
form cartridge.

Make sure the
printhead to the center of the printer. Refer to the "Ribbon Clamp
Installation" label located inside the printer for proper positioning.
Adjust the GAP LEVER to the "Ribbon Replace" highest position.

With the ribbon cartridge in hand (the side with the knob faces the user),
turn the ribbon knob according to the arrow direction, so that the ribbon
slack is removed.

To avoid damage, keep fingers away from print head cable harness
located behind ribbon cartridge.

Position of the ribbon cartridge inside the printer chassis; make the
cartridge buckles on both sides aim at the slots of the printer, push it
forward until it is locked in place.

Carefully slide the plastic RIBBON SHIELD onto the left and right carrier
pins. Verify the shield is seated against the printhead carrier.
8.
Rotate the RIBBON FEED KNOB in the direction of the arrow to remove
fabric slack.

Power OFF the printer. Do not touch the
printhead immediately after printing because
it may be too hot.
